Final conference of the project IPA 2008 Civil Society Facility "Network for health and safety at work", has been successfully finished, from October 23rd to October 26th 2011., in Croatia, Makarska, hotel Meteor. Hotels that were contacted were "Hotel Medena", "Hotel Meteor" and "Hotel Zora". Hotel Meteor was selected as the most effective offer.


Conference was organized by The association for help and education of mobbing victims in cooperation with partner organizations - trade unions of the finances from the countries of the Region: Trade Union of finances of Macedonia; Autonomous trade union of employees in bank, insurance companies and other financial organizations of Serbia; Trade Union of finance Organizations of Montenegro. The Conference gathered 118 participants. Participants arrived from 4 countries of the Region: Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and from EU, Austria which are partners on the project. Participants were representatives of the NGOs, employer associations, trade unions, governmental institutions, non governmental institutions and legal experts.

 

Most of the participants arrived to Makarska on October 23rd of 2011. in the afternoon hours. After gathering, the participants attended welcoming drink and dinner where they could all meet and communicate.

 


On October 24th 2011., the conference started at 10 am as planned. Jadranka Apostolovski, project manager, opened the conference and addressed the audience with welcoming speech. Opening speeches were held by Krešimir Sever, president of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia that are partner on the Project, Rudolf Karazman from IBG institue, partner and supervisor of the Project, and Jozo Sarač, representative of the President of the Government of Croatia.


After the opening part we moved on to the agenda and each country presented the way they have successfully executed project activities and experiences gained through the execution of these activities.


On October 25th 2011., the conference started at 9 am as planned and that day was dedicated to thematic workshops and recommendations for trade union members, employers, NGOs and governmental institutions but all the participants of the conference were welcome to join all workshops and discussions. First one was held by Mara Erdelj, Project coordinator from Serbia, who leaded the workshop for trade union members. At the same time in another hall there was a workshop held by Goce Selovski, Project coordinator from Macedonia, who held presentations for governmental institutions. Then, workshop for employers was held by Elvira Koić, trainer of trainers on the project and, at the same time in another hall there was a workshop held by Krsto Pejović, project coordinator from Montenegro. He held workshop for NGOs.


As planned on the agenda, after those vivid discussions, the members of the conference signed the Charter on the establishment of a localised anti-mobbing advisory network. Document was signed by project manager, Jadranka Apostolovski; local project coordinator from Montenegro, Krsto Pejović; local project coordinator from Macedonia, Goce Selovski; and local project coordinator from Serbia, Mara Erdelj. Charter was signed in Croatian, Montenegrin, Macedonian and Serbian language.


October 26th 2011. was last day of the final conference. It was reserved for evaluations, conclusions, recommendations and for closing words. Jadranka Apostolovski, project manager, closed the final conference. Then, participants were having lunch and parted to their homes. It is significant to underline the fact that attention of the participants was held through whole duration of the Final conference.
